Class Descriptions

Yoga/Meditation
This is an all levels yoga class designed to prepare the body and mind for meditation. We will spend about an hour on postures with the remainder of the class focused on an extended relaxation with pranayama and meditation.

Yoga Level 1
This is an introductory level class of yoga postures, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques.   You will energize the body and mind, balance the nervous system  and develop strength, flexibility and balance.  This is for those who are new to yoga or have limited experience.  More experienced students may also enjoy this level of class.

Prenatal Yoga

The body has its own innate wisdom about the stages of pregnancy, labor and birth. This class will help you to tune into this inner knowledge. The class helps you to strengthen the pelvic muscles and uterus, enhances digestion and elimination and helps you to make space for the baby and your own internal organs.

Yoga for all Levels

This class provides a mixed bag of yoga postures and breath work as well as various relaxation techniques to enhance strength and flexibility, balance the nervous system and provide a sense of well being.

Yoga Level 2
This class is designed for the student who has a basic practice and is looking to challenge his or her abilities.  Core strengthening, linking postures to the breath and pranayama will enable you to achieve a higher level of mind body health and
well-being.

Basics and Beyond
This class is for beginners as well as students who wish to continue to develop their skills.  You will work on basic postures and breathing techniques.  All levels of fitness and experience will enjoy this class.

Beginner Yoga
This is a class for those who are new to yoga or wish to review the fundamentals of a yoga practice. Class includes yoga postures, breathwork and relaxation techniques.

Flow and Fusion
Vinyasa Flow with Mindy Hill combines breath with movement to bring a transformation to body and mind. Start where you are and work at your own pace. Variations are are given to suit the level of each student. Yoga Fusion with Joanne Thomas is a mind/body blend of traditional yoga postures and pilates inspired exercises. Lengthen and strengthen the body, calm the mind and energize the spirit. Suitable for all levels. These classes will alternate each Sunday.
