Yoga is an elegant and ancient system of
breathing and postures which can restore a
sense of vitality, well being and peace.
The word “yoga” comes from the ancient
Indian language of Sanskrit and literally means to yoke, to unite, to be whole.
Yoga’s aim is to unite the body, mind and spirit.
Practicing yoga helps you feel healthy, happy and whole.
When we hear the word yoga, we think of
backbends and twisiting the body into a pretzel.
This is an inaccurate perception of yoga.
You don’t need to be in perfect physical shape to practice yoga.
You only need to be alive and breathing. Yoga is vastly adaptable to
every person’s particular needs.
The yoga practiced here at Bella’s is
primarily Hatha yoga. This is a type
of yoga that uses the physical posture (asana) with the breath to relax the body
and calm the mind, bringing greater awareness to your life.
Benefits of yoga:

Yoga takes the unconscious process of
breathing and makes it conscious. This
has been proven to create beneficial changes in the body and mind.

nervous system and the glandular system and releases endorphins from the brain.
The flow of your internal energy is boosted
through yoga. Yoga stimulates
